About Us

I’m Kelly Cavaretta, a soulful artist, mama and horse lover in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I founded heart.horse.soul.works in 2014 to create reclaimed creations with sparkle, shine and love to benefit the lives of humans....and horses, too.

The seed of this vision was planted nearly a {?time frame? decade} ago when I was living in California. One day, I was driving down the Pacific Coast Highway and I saw this horse herd running free {on a hillside? where?}. It was the most beautiful sight and it brought tears to my eyes — imagining these majestic creatures being in the wild and being free. This spirit of unbridled beauty and joy is at the center of heart.horse.soul.works.

I have loved horses since I was a young girl. I grew up with a brother who had cerebral palsy. He rode in 4-H and seeing him do something that brought him so much joy made a huge impact on me.  I am not a rider, nor I have never owned a horse, but I have always been drawn to these amazing creatures and I know they are true “earth angels” who bring love and healing to all they touch.

A longtime artist, it’s my great joy to create these heartfelt pieces. I get to work with the essence of the horses, the healing energy of the gemstones and add a little bling to make you smile. I am often helped my daughter, Milana, in our home-based studio, {is there a detail about her helping that we could add here?}.  

And I love that my soulful offerings not only help others feel good, they also give back to the horses at LifeStriders Therapeutic Riding Center each time a heart.horse.soul.works piece is sold.

When I’m not making art, you can find me hiking in the woods with my dog Rae, volunteering in the horse barn at LifeStriders (and getting my boots dirty!), taking photographs and {what’s your favorite family activity} hanging out with my husband and kids. {anything else you want to include?}
